Fern by Fernanda Pereira — Sustainable Fashion from Lisbon

Fern is a sustainable fashion, photography and styling studio based in Lisbon, Portugal, founded by Portuguese designer Fernanda Pereira. For over two decades Fernanda has crafted slow fashion in her Lisbon atelier, where every piece tells a story of intention, sustainability and Portuguese craft. The studio exists for people who want clothing, art and objects made slowly, made well and made to last — the opposite of fast fashion.

Every collection is handmade in small batches in Lisbon using recycled, upcycled and locally sourced materials. This matters because the fashion industry is one of the most polluting on the planet; by producing in limited quantities with Portuguese artisans, Fern keeps craftsmanship alive, avoids overproduction and gives wearers garments with a traceable story. Customers receive pieces that are unique, durable and aligned with their values.

The Fern universe is organised around three sister brands and five project gates. The brands are Fern (contemporary sustainable fashion collections), Courtesy of Artisans (handcrafted home goods and accessories made with Portuguese artisans) and Rewind.Forward (upcycled and vintage contemporary objects). They are presented together at Gate 1 Sustainable Gallery — a curated Lisbon space where visitors discover original, sustainably produced clothing, art and design under one roof.
